Switch driver expansion. The dominant theme this week is new network switch support landing across stable branches. AlliedWare Plus switches gained a full configuration module (four backports, 158 lines each), as did Cisco NX-OS (four branches at 156 lines, plus NGS integration), and Dell SONiC picked up configuration support on master. A diff-mode fix for AlliedWare Plus followed close behind. Dell OS10 and OS9 also saw a cluster of correctness fixes around config indentation, whitespace-sensitive changed-status detection, and task reporting — most of them backported across three or four branches.
Platform scope changes. Swift support was removed outright (~900 lines deleted), and CentOS Stream 10 was dropped as a supported host OS, trimming another ~400 lines net. The nmstate network engine gained check and diff mode support, bringing dry-run parity to that backend. Smaller platform tweaks include a new Docker storage driver default and installing docker from PyPI via upper constraints.
Stability and Ansible plumbing. Galaxy installs now respect a custom ansible.cfg, with a matching ANSIBLE_CONFIG export for kolla-ansible collections. Playbooks now wait for firewalld to be ready before configuring it (backported), skip the etc-hosts fixup on hosts not mapped to kolla, tolerate missing image IDs during deployment image updates, and skip ntp sync and python checks appropriately in check mode. Network connectivity checks were optimized and re-enabled in CI.
Elsewhere. CI switched to the OpenDev Galaxy mirror, ansible-pylibssh was added, and community.docker and stackhpc.libvirt-vm received version bumps.
