openstack/kayobe — Week of 2026-10-17

Release alignment. The tree moved onto the OpenStack 2026.2 release, pulling in matching inventory and feature-flag updates from kayobe-ansible 2026.2 and dropping the deprecated manage-containers aliases. A new default configuration for ipa-ntp-server also landed alongside the switch to downloading CentOS Stream 10 IPA images, keeping the ironic-python-agent story current.

Config handling. A fix to merge_configs/merge_yaml and concat behaviour corrects how Kayobe composes layered configuration — a small change but one that affects any site relying on multi-source overrides.

CI and provisioning. Overcloud provisioning gained explicit Bifrost coverage in CI, and seed/infra VM jobs got longer timeouts to stop flaking. A dummy variable was added to hostname.yml to satisfy playbook expectations.

Role and collection bumps. stackhpc.libvirt-vm was bumped to 1.17.2 across four branches, with smaller bumps for robertdebock.fail2ban (5.0.7) and community.docker (5.4.0) rounding out the maintenance work.
