openstack/kolla-ansible — Week of 2026-10-24

Operator knobs and backend tuning. Nova deployments gained support for operator-provided qemu.conf and libvirtd.conf templates, landing on master and a stable branch. On the RabbitMQ side, the playbook now stops setting (and leaking) the cluster cookie — the largest single diff of the week and a notable directional change for cluster bootstrap. Octavia switched from endpoint_type to valid_interfaces for keystone auth.

Stability and healthchecks. ProxySQL was fixed so that it actually falls back to the backup writer node for reads, with the patch going in on both master and a stable branch. Container "unhealthy" checks were corrected (also on two branches), the Trove API healthcheck was taught to cope with a TLS backend, and Fluentd's OpenSearch output address was corrected. A 2025.1-only precheck was added for letsencrypt_cert_server, with the matching sample globals.yml reference replaced on master.

Housekeeping. The quickstart docs were refreshed for RHEL-family distros, a lingering ceilometerclient reference was removed, and 2025.1 CI now pulls pebble from ghcr.io.
