Test suite slimming. The dominant work this week was a seven-patch sweep across the test tree that stripped roughly 4,000 lines of redundant coverage — pruning overlapping cases in the engine, DB API, REST API, DSL and expression, services, action, and notifier suites, and tightening launcher call-count assertions along the way. Nothing new is being exercised; the goal is a leaner, less duplicative suite.
Event engine and auth fixes. The event engine no longer busy-waits on its queue, with a companion release note and listener test landing alongside the fix (1008741). On the auth side, the trust-scoped client now takes its auth_url from keystone_authtoken rather than relying on other sources, improving behavior when Mistral talks to Keystone on behalf of trust holders.
Stability and maintenance. A flaky named-lock test was repaired so it survives dynamic test dispatch, and a deprecated oslo_messaging.transport.get_transport call was swapped out for the current API.
