Chart metadata. The headline change is a spec proposing that release notes live directly in chart metadata rather than external files, laying out a convention for how per-release notes would be authored, collected, and surfaced from the charts themselves (1007609). Nothing is wired up yet — this week only lands the design.

Neutron and OVN chart. The Neutron chart saw a focused cleanup pass, consolidating the ovn-neutron-init rendering into a single snippet and fixing a cluster of smaller gaps: missing daemonset upgrade policies, missing pod annotations, unsized init containers, and the ovn-db-sync cron job now waits on the db sync. Elsewhere in charts, the Magnum chart was updated for compatibility with Magnum 2026.1, and Ceph CSI was switched to msgr v2 to match the rbd-nbd default.

CI and tempest. Gate work made the kubeadm-join step fail fast on network outages and gave each build its own VXLAN overlay to avoid cross-job interference. The tempest harness learned to run once per deploy, look up required IDs instead of hard-coding them, print the full log on failure, and let callers tune helm install retries. A small Grafana login-form race was also fixed.
