MPU feature branch. The feature/mpu branch saw the bulk of the week's churn, roughly 3,000 lines reshaping how multipart uploads interact with containers and accounts. Manifests and parts now report their byte counts up to the account layer, and container MPU byte counts are likewise rolled up. On the simplification side, custom container updates were ripped out of both the object server and the proxy server, proxy-driven legacy SLO MPU cleanup was removed, middleware support for reserved names was dropped, and earlier SLO middleware changes were reverted. Smaller follow-ups removed the mpu_link etag override param and unused variables, and master was merged back into the branch.

Server stability. A cluster of fixes hardened the gunicorn-based WSGI stack: open requests now drain on a graceful stop, bad configs are refused on reload while a refused reload still reports ready, ssync leaves socket close to gunicorn, and the thread trampoline uses poll(). The proxy no longer runs client_timeout during EC waits, the syslog handler is locked in thread mode, catch_errors resets client_ip per request, the error limiter survives concurrent node expiry, the replicator sums a copy of per-device stats, and the async-pending updater locks its oldest tracker while restoring INFO-level connect-timeout logs.

S3 and dependencies. anycrc became a hard dependency, letting s3api drop its fallbacks for unavailable CRC implementations. A stray py2-ism in tests and a docstring header-prefix fix round out the week.
