Gunicorn server hardening. The week is dominated by a sweep of fixes to Swift's gunicorn-based server. New behavior waits client_timeout for a first request before dropping a connection, parses keepalive_timeout the way the eventlet server did, logs stalled request reads as warnings rather than silently, closes connections off the poll thread, lets an orphaned worker drain in flight work, refuses to reload with a bad storage policy, and makes a port arbiter propagate its real exit code. A small companion change keeps ConnectionTimeout importable from swift.common.exceptions for consumers that still reach for it.
Networking and timeouts elsewhere. The memcached client now applies pool_timeout to the establishment of new connections, not just checkouts from the pool, and the docs call out that conn_timeout does not cover DNS resolution. A flaky reconstructor handoff test was also stabilized.
MPU. A previously landed object-server change for multipart upload was reverted as unrequired (1010870).
Stable branch bookkeeping. AUTHORS and CHANGELOG entries landed for the 2.38.3, 2.37.4, 2.36.4, and 2.35.5 point releases across four stable branches.
